Gamified
Life is a lot
Like Hot and Cold,
A game we played
Before we grew old,
Someone would secretly
Hide an object,
We’d all keep searching
Till one of us found it.
You’re hot or cold
Or warm they’d say,
That’s how they’d guide us
Along the way
As we felt intrigue,
Disappointment or excitement,
Each new clue
Further or closer we were sent.
Until someone won,
You or a friend,
Then the game would start
All over again,
Much like the way
Life’s supposed to work
By listening to your heart,
Your gut, your thoughts.
Your internal radar,
Emotions, intuition
Can keep you on course,
Focused on your mission
As long as you’re listening,
Aware of the signs,
You’ll find that object
In record time.
You’re hot or cold
Or warm our GPS says
To warn us, maybe go
In another direction instead,
It’s basically simple
Like the childhood game,
Listening for how close
Or far we came.
We can adjust our course
According to the information,
Slowing it down or
Speeding up the acceleration
On the way to our goal,
Though never done,
Once reached
there’s always a newer one,
Just like the game
That went on and on,
Life’s canvas is vast
To paint upon.
You don’t have to download it
From Play Store
It’s already installed
Deep in your core,
To activate it
There is no price
But know once you do
It becomes quite a vice.
Gamification of life
As it was meant to be,
Looking for the clues,
Observing what you see,
Learning and growing
Each time you play,
Accompanied always
As you make your way.
