Understand
I understand
But then I don’t,
Why some will try
And others won’t.
I understand
Each has their path,
Though I want to shout,
“Just trust the math!”
I understand
It’s not for all
But wonder why
They don’t hear the call.
I understand
It’s hard to believe,
So results are discarded
When thoughts are preconceived?
I understand
Some have a fear
Though wish they knew
It’s easy to clear.
I understand
Views are subjective
But hope solutions
Aren’t outrightly rejected.
I understand,
Yet then again,
It makes me question
Why more aren’t open.
I understand,
Though not at all,
How logic works
To maintain this wall.
I understand
The need so well
But not the reason
It’s unwelcome to tell.
I understand
It’s a question of time
Though my knowing says
The moment is prime.
I understand
It’s hard to grasp
For we’re taught to believe
Reality we must clasp.
I understand,
Not really though,
Since it’s all quite simple,
We innately know.
I understand
Yet still I ponder
The reason why
Others don’t wonder.
I understand,
I really do,
For that was me
Before I knew.
