Connected

So here I am

And there you are,

Though still together

And yet so far.

I feel you close,

I know you’re there,

Someday I’ll see

Exactly where.

I miss your hugs,

Your smile and voice,

Yet understand

You had no choice.

When roles are done

It’s time to go,

Take heed of lessons

For another show.

Your essence now burns

On a higher frequency,

At times I still sense

Your presence equally.

The joy remains

And much gratitude

For moments we shared,

Here to which I allude.

So you were you

And I am me,

Though still connected

We will always be.

Both here or there,

Right now or then,

Our paths once merged

Move on again.

Forever changed

By life’s evolution,

Our need to expand

Herein lies the conclusion.

With an open heart

And flowing mind,

Tuned into life

Your channel I find.

At times it works,

I sense you’re near,

I treasure such moments

And hold them dear.

Still, here I am

With you so far,

No longer together

Yet, yes we are.

Life

There comes a day

We all shall know,

The beauty and power

Life does bestow,

Upon each one,

Exactly the same,

It’s up to us

To master this game.

The beauty lies

In our own connection

With all that is,

Bar no exception.

To live and love,

To be and do,

To give and take,

Exist as you.

So real and raw,

Refined or pretend,

Created, reinvented,

Here now, then once again.

The power lies

In our own understanding,

That we are here

To continue expanding.

To learn and grow,

Experience and observe,

Follow a dotted line

Or detour and swerve.

Be grateful and appreciate,

Rejoice or resent,

Both flow and resist,

Be authentically present.

So jump in and take part

In life’s power and beauty,

Connect, understand

Life’s a gift not a duty.
