So here I am
And there you are,
Though still together
And yet so far.
I feel you close,
I know you’re there,
Someday I’ll see
Exactly where.
I miss your hugs,
Your smile and voice,
Yet understand
You had no choice.
When roles are done
It’s time to go,
Take heed of lessons
For another show.
Your essence now burns
On a higher frequency,
At times I still sense
Your presence equally.
The joy remains
And much gratitude
For moments we shared,
Here to which I allude.

And I am me,
Though still connected
We will always be.
Both here or there,

Our paths once merged
Move on again.

By life’s evolution,
Our need to expand

With an open heart
